As a major appliance technician and business owner, I occasionally need a new discharge hose for a washer that I’m working on. I looked at many hoses on Amazon before deciding on this one. Here’s why: most of the cheaper hoses are accordionated but Not spiral wound. The accordionated hoses actually rub through on the outer edges because they are very thin. This hose is Spiral wound from one end to the other. The external spiral protects the interior of the hose and shields it from abrasion. This unit was slightly more expensive but WELL worth it. It will still be solid when the others are leaking and useless. Don’t waste your money. Buy this one. I’ve repaired washers and dryers for 35 years. Take my word for this.
