The smaller strap has a rubbery shiny side that you loop around your leaf blower or grass trimmer, and a buckle that you feed the loose end through. Gravity and tension holds it together, so you need to feed enough strap through to keep it taut. The clip pushes in rather than pulls down; and it swivels around for maneuverability.The larger strap goes over one shoulder and across the body to your piece of equipment. There is an adequate sized shoulder pad to provide comfort, and it can slide to any position you prefer along the strap.
