We have used this dehumidifier for a little over a year, and it removes two tanks a day from our lower level. Before adding it our humidity was regularly around 65% (as measured by our LED moisture sensor). Now it is around 50%. We do run it all day, but that is for an entire 1200 square-foot floor. I have not noticed any jump in my electric bill, so I assume it is pretty efficient. You can run it to a drain, but I just empty the tank in the morning, and again at night. We previously had a Honeywell dehumidifier that was recalled. This Kesnos model is as good or better, and a little quieter. It has all the bells and whistles to set it for a specific level. Because our area is so big, I set it 40% and let it run. If the tank fills, it shuts off automatically. It is on wheels, for those who need that feature. the cord is nice and long. Overall, this was a great purchase for our needs.Found this product to be lightweight, quiet and easy to use. It has a pleasant appearance. I would recommend using the hose method for removal of condensed water in larger/very moist areas as the internal water container does not hold a significant quantity of water and would require more "empty out" trips to reduce a significant moisture content problem (the unit shuts down when internal tank is full to avoid overflowing). Smaller room spaces should have no such problem. I used the hose provided to send water into a 5 gallon bucket. I put the unit on a timer which allowed more fexibility in the emptying process. This has worked very well for me for some timeDehumidifier functioned well for 11 months. It is smaller than the other dehumidifier it replaced. I was concerned that it would not be strong enough for the space (basement with lots of humidity) but it functioned as well as the unit I replaced. It is also much quieter than the prior dehumidifier. I can watch TV in the same room without turning the volume way up.At about month 11 its performance deteriorated and I noticed that one spot on the case was very cold. I contacted Kesnos service and they replied right away saying I had a refrigerant leak and they would replace it under warranty. Excellent service an product all around.Unit came in only a couple of days. Well packaged so it arrived intact. Very simple to set it up ( basically, just take it out of the box). Runs pretty quietly. We are using it in our master suite bathroom. Easily takes the humidity down to 50%, after using the bathtub or shower. Compact size makes it convenient to find a space for it. Kesnos Customer Service has been very responsive with any questions.We were selling our home and the basement smelled a little musty so we thought this would help and it did the job.My daughter is using it in her home now.It probably works, although I am not quite sure. It certainly runs and blows air. Unfortunately the long control panel is not lit properly and some of the icons are nearly invisible. Kesnos customer support tried to help, but unfortunately I found it too inconvenient to use and returned it.It works except the overflow protection stopped working. Which sucks. You have to constantly if everything is close to fullMy original review was posted (see below). Kesnos contacted me soon after & offered either a discount on a larger model, or a partial refund. I accepted the refund because I'd already purchased a 2nd dehumidifier. I appreciate their customer service.This is supposed to cover a 4000 sq. ft. house. My house is 2100 sq. ft. It draws some moisture out, but not enough. I've measured the humidity level in different areas of the house over the past few weeks & it doesn't draw enough moisture from areas further away. The unit is placed centrally & does a decent job in the immediate surroundings, but definitely not further away. Although set at 35% humidity level (which I don't expect it to reach, but that keeps it running constantly) it was 70% in one area of the house this morning, prompting me to write this review.
