This RV water pump silencer measures 36" in length and the tubing itself is .5" tubing. How this silencer works is that it connects to your water pump, creates a loop for the water to go through, and connects to tubing on the other side of the silencer. By making the water go through this loop before continuing into your water system, the rattling vibrations are removed, as the water is steady by the time it exits the loop.
The 36" length is more effective than other 18" versions, as the extra length helps to make sure that the water has plenty of space to calm down and stop shaking, reducing the noise as much as possible. The max working pressure of the silencer is 150 PSI and it is NSF Certified, meaning it is safe for drinking water.
The silencer is made of one piece of tubing with a female end on either side. Included is the male to male adapter to connect the tubing to your pipes. Made in America, this silencer is durable and effective, keeping your RV a place of relaxation, not frustration.
So this set is exactly what I was looking for. Even though it had some poor reviews, I ordered it anyway. Well, as others have stated, the clamps are unacceptable. Be prepared to do them yourself. I don't know how this company let's something like this pass inspection to ship. I haven't pressure tested the properly placed clamps yet, but one clamp is placed so far down the hose that it missed the fitting completely and allows the hose to effortlessly slip off.
